Bed and Breakfast Maggiore is situated on the first floor of a building which dates back to the 1800s. Just opposite the B&B is the impressive Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, one of the most important churches and a must-see when in Rome. Just a short walk away is one of Rome's most famous landmarks, the Colosseum, as well as the sprawling ruins of the Roman Forum. The area is locally know as Rione Monti and is characterised by its small, winding lanes and typical mediaeval squares. Getting around Rome is also made easy, as the city's main train station (Termini) and transport hub is conveniently just a stone's throw away.
